



NCCIM undertakes a broad range of activities annually in furtherance of its objectives. Its activities can broadly be segregated into the following categories:
Domestic Activities
Ministry of Finance Annual Pre-Budget Dialogue:
NCCIM participates in the Ministry of Finance Annual Pre-Budget Dialogue, which is preceded by a submission of a Memorandum on the Budget prepared by NCCIM's Fiscal and Monetary Policies Committee.
Ministry of International Trade and Industry Annual Dialogue:
NCCIM participates in the Annual Dialogue of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry on issues and strategies for enhancement of Malaysian trade and investment, covering such broad issues as general trends in trade and investment, infrastructure, human resources development, R & D, technology transfer, etc. A submission of a Memorandum to the Minister precedes the Dialogue
Participation in various Government Committees such as:
Dialogues with Ambassadors and High Commissioners:
Dialogues are organized with Foreign Missions in Malaysia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on issues affecting the private sector, particularly in relation to new foreign trade and investment policies, initiatives, opportunities, and global scenarios for business.
Hosting of VIP events:
At the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister's Department, NCCIM frequently organizes luncheons, dinner, forums, conferences etc, for visiting Head-of-States, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and other VIPS.
Assisting in organizing Malaysian trade missions to accompany official government-led delegations to other countries.
Assisting in facilitating and hosting visiting public sector delegations and missions to Malaysia.
Provide inputs for Joint Commissions that have been set up by the Government under its Bilateral Economic, Technical and Scientific Agreements with other Countries.
NCCIM helps disseminate information on Government policies to Malaysian companies and business associations.
Attending Board and EXCO Meetings of EDI (M) Sdn Bhd;
Operating the NCCIM Resource & Assistance Centre.
Organizing of events for the benefit of the business sector. Such events include Seminars, Workshops, Forums, Conferences, Roadshows, Lectures etc, on business trends, policies, outlook, opportunities, threats etc.
Responding to foreign trade and business inquiries, and disseminating the same to relevant organizations
